Edirisa UK hold a number of fundraising events throughout the year, ranging from the hugely popular Wine Challenge to our more sedate family friendly country walk.
Our events are focused on having fun and bringing people together, whilst also being an enjoyable way to support Edirisa UK’s activities in Uganda. Why not join us for our next walk through the beautiful Chiltern Hills, an area of ‘outstanding natural beauty’ in Buckinghamshire. Our annual country walks are all circular, taking in some beautiful countryside and typical English country villages. Afterwards we always finish with a cup of tea and homemade cakes.
If you’re into horses or just fancy a flurry perhaps you’d like to come to our annual race night at Kempton Park. Tickets are approximately £30 which includes a drink and dinner voucher and a £2 bet.
Our other past events have included a “Salsa Night”, Indian themed evening at Brilliant Restaurant in Southall, Musical Evening at Amersham Market Hall, Quiz Night, Live Band parties, BBQ’s and more.
Awake in Chorus!
Edirisa UK has linked up with Brandenburg, the organisers of the UK’s largest choral festival, to raise funds through ticket sales for a concert on Saturday 26th April, featuring the award-winning Original Sing and the Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus.
The concert will be held at St Clement Danes Church (immortalised in the nursery rhyme ‘Oranges and Lemons’), Strand, London WC2R 1DH, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £18.

“This concert celebrates the joy and variety of community singing. Original Sing are an award-winning a cappella group who sing a diverse programme of songs with real verve. Also performing are the talented Royal Opera House Thurrock Community Chorus who will treat us to a selection of opera choruses including excerpts from Verdi’s Requiem and Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas. To hear them perform in the lovely surroundings of St Clement Danes will be a wonderful experience” commented Sheila Windridge from the charity.
The Brandenburg Choral Festival is the UK’s largest choral festival. Now in its fifth year, it is presenting 70 concerts, ranging from Bach to Bernstein and Rachmaninov to Rutter, from gospel to jazz, covering the traditional choral repertoire with plenty of surprises along the way!
