Welcome to Edirisa
Edirisa UK is the UK arm of the Ugandan charity Edirisa. The charity is primarily concerned with supporting primary school education in South West Uganda - through sponsorship programmes for children, building and refurbishing school and nursery buildings and supporting extra curricular activities. We organise fundraising events in the UK and coordinate UK sponsorship. All funds raised go directly to projects in Uganda and to supporting childrens’ education and creativity. We provide regular updates on this website, and more comprehensive information about Edirisa’s wider activities can be found on the Ugandan site at www.edirisa.org. Edirisa is about promoting education and skills, encouraging cultural exchange and knowledge transfer, and improving communities.
