Welcome

Edirisa UK is the UK arm of the Ugandan organisation Edirisa. We promote education and skills, encourage cultural exchange, and improve access to clean water. We refurbish classrooms, build and run nursery schools, and provide extra curricular creative workshops. We also focus on community based projects such as water harvesting and traditional craft making.

Edirisa UK organises events in the UK with funds going directly to the projects in Uganda.

We are now taking reservations for the fifth Edirisa UK International Wine Challenge, to be held on 19th May at 7.00pm at Freemasons Hall, 86 St. James's Street, SW1A 1PL.

The Wine Challenge takes a light hearted yet competitive look at some of the world's finest wines. Participants learn about wine, but most importantly they leave having had masses of fun. We promise to get the room whooping, hollering and cheering as they get more and more of the answers correct.
Throughout the Challenge you will taste 8 separate wines produced from the finest growing regions around the globe and by some of the world's leading winemakers. The wines are poured blind and the teams then have to guess the details of the wine with help from a multiple choice answer sheet and the Challenge master. No previous experience of wine tasting is necessary.
The cost of a table of 6 people is £800, this includes a champagne reception with canapés and all the wines for the evening. There will be 15 teams of 6 so numbers are limited.
